Athletic Fitness Model (Female and Male)
The Athletic Fitness Model division is meant to showcase models who are fit, toned and lean. Successful models will have visible muscle separation, and a healthy body fat to lean muscle ratio. Should not have as much muscle mass as the Muscular Fitness Models. Models should have good symmetry, proportions and display ample confidence and personality in a tasteful fashion. An attainable look is desired for mainstream fitness modeling. Attention to personal grooming will play an important role in being successful in this division.
• Toned, lean and fit musculature.
• Body fat levels should be reasonable, neither too excessive nor too minimal.
• Muscle separation and visible ab development is suggested for this Category, however physique should not display excessive vascularity, dryness, striation or mass.
• Marketability would be for mediums such as Oxygen, Maximum Fitness, Status, Fitness RX for Men, Men's Health, Women's Health, Men's Workout, Shape, Fitness (Mind/Body/Spirit), Self, Beyond Fitness, Inside Fitness, Fitness STAR Magazine etc.

Muscular Fitness Model (Female and Male)
The Muscular Fitness Model category is meant to showcase a model who is more muscled than the Athletic Fitness Model, although still not as striated as a bodybuilder. Visible fullness and separation between muscle groups are rewarded. Although these models will show significantly more muscle mass than the Athletic Fitness Model, they should keep in mind that a natural look is necessary to be successful in mainstream fitness modeling so you don't need to be as ripped of dry as a bodybuilder. The Muscular Fitness Model must have good symmetry, proportions and display ample confidence with personality in a tasteful fashion.
• Should display a muscular, defined, tight physique.
• Body fat should be minimal with visible striations.
• Visible ab development is expected in this Category.
• Great for natural bodybuilders & figure competitors that want to do Fitness Modeling.
• Typically have larger backs, legs, arms and shoulders that Athletic Fitness Models.
• Marketability would be for mediums such as Muscle and Fitness, Status, Oxygen, Maximum Fitness,
Fitness RX for Men, Men's Health, Women's Health, Men's Workout, Shape,
Fitness (Mind/Body/Spirit), Self, Beyond Fitness, Inside Fitness, Natural Bodybuilding and Fitness,
Fitness STAR Magazine etc.

Masters Fitness Model (40+ Female and Male) The Masters Fitness Model category will follow the same guidelines and criteria as the Athletic Fitness Model division.

Bikini Model (Female ONLY) The Bikini Model division is meant to showcase healthy models who are fit and toned but not as lean as the Athletic Fitness Models or Muscular Fitness Models. Striations within individual muscles should not be visible due to the fact that the body fat percentage may be slightly higher for that natural look. Models should be proportionate, fit, confident and have great stage presence.
• Do not need to be muscular or extremely defined for this Category although should still be fit and in great shape with a tight, toned physique.
• Mid section should be lean, however visible ab development is not necessary.
• Typical beach body type.
• Judges are looking for attractive females with a shapely physique.
• Competitors should appear in a relaxed stance, stay tight and maintain good posture, however they should not appear as they a flexing or posing excessively.
• Marketability would be for mediums such as Maxim, UMM, Shape, Self, Sport
Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, American Curves, Victoria Secrets, Fitness STAR Magazine etc.

Stage Tips for ALL Categories:• Body should be well proportioned for your category, balanced and symmetrical (ex: front vs. back, upper body vs. lower body, left side vs. right side).
• Have a healthy vibrant look showing self-confidence and excellent posture.
• Show off you individuality, charisma, style and personal flair.
• Pay attention to detail including hair, nails, jewelery, posing suits, heels, blemishes etc.
• Tattoos are aloud and if you have them wear them proudly.
• Skin tone should be smooth, tight and healthy in appearance.
• A tanned appearance is beneficial under the bright wash lighting. This can be achieved via sun beds, natural sunlight, spray tanning and/or Protan. Dream Tan paste is forbidden due to it's wetness and makes the skin appear too dark.
