Talkers in Class

This is tough I find. I have asked and or suggested in different ways to the entire class that this is an exercise class and that some people come here to exercise and be in a nice space without chatter. I ask them all to consider how their chatter and noise can affect someone else's work out negatively. I do suggest that if you like to catch up, there is time after class.

This has eliminated chatter in some cases, but I have had a few tough ones that simply do not care who will chat no matter what you say. In one case a young client was complaining about chatter by others, however she chatters too, so since it was a small group I let it go, which inspired her to keep splashing the chatters she was complaining about. I suggested she put more effort in to her workout, and not that. She was insulted, and never returned. Problem solved. I do not feel I or the class should make time for that kind of childish behavior. She also complained the chatters were not working out hard enough while she was not putting in any effort herself. So, go figure, it all depends on the situation.

I personally would start off by addressing that class at the start of the class, and say that there has been complaints coming in about chatting in class, please refrain from chatting and pick up your conversations after class about.

Thank them and tell them you appreciate that they will comply.
